How to play
- Split into teams of at least two people.
- One player takes the phone and explains the word on screen without saying it. Their team guesses.
- Got it? Tap “Correct” and the next word appears. Stuck? Tap “Skip”.
- When time runs out, check the list of words from the round and pass the phone to the next team.
- The first team to reach the target score wins.
What is not allowed
- Saying the word itself or any word with the same root.
- Translating the word into another language.
- Using gestures or pointing at things.
- Spelling the word out.
Synonyms, opposites and any associations are fine.
How scoring works
Each guessed word is a point. With the penalty on, each skipped word takes a point away, but a score never goes below zero.
Shared last word: when time runs out, every team may guess the word on screen. The point goes to whoever says it first.
After the round the list of words stays on screen. If a button was tapped by mistake, fix the mark before the points are counted.
When a team reaches the target, the circle is played to the end so that every team has had the same number of turns. A tie means one more circle.
Decks
Three decks to pick from: easy, medium and hard words. The game has 819 words in total, and none repeats until a deck runs out.
Drinking mode
It is switched on in the game setup and is off by default.
The explainer takes a sip for every skipped word. After each circle, the team that scored the least in that circle takes a sip.

Questions
- How many people do we need?
- At least four: two teams of two. There can be up to six teams.
- Do we need to install anything?
- No. The game opens in the browser and needs no account. Once the page has loaded it does not need the internet.
- How long does a game take?
- It depends on the setup: a lower target score and shorter rounds make a quicker game.
- What if we close the tab by accident?
- The game is saved in the browser. Open the page again and tap “Continue game”.
